How does the system withstand Mauritian cyclones?
Our arrays use structural AL6005-T5 anodised aluminium racking with marine-grade 316 stainless fasteners, engineered and tested to 5,400 Pa mechanical wind loads. This handles Category 4-5 cyclonic winds, backed by our 10-year structural warranty.
Do I need a 3-phase electricity supply to install a 10 kW or 12 kW system?
Under July 2026 CEB rules, grid export is limited to 5 kWac per phase. Our single-phase Deye inverters deliver full 10 kW or 12 kW output to your home loads and batteries while built-in limiters keep grid injection within the 5 kWac limit. You do not need an expensive 3-phase utility upgrade. Note: 12 kW inverters require CEB's routine network impact study and Letter of Intent (LOI) before grid connection.
What appliances run on battery when there is a blackout at night?
With our 20.48 kWh or 32.0 kWh lithium powerwalls, your home runs essential loads (refrigerators, Wi-Fi, lights, water pump) plus multiple bedroom air conditioners throughout the night without grid dependence.
How is the Rs 75,000 DBM government grant deducted?
SolarFlow provides the certified proforma quotation formatted for DBM approval. Once your voucher is issued, the Rs 75,000 is deducted directly from your payable balance—you do not have to wait months for an overseas tax rebate.
Can I charge an electric vehicle (EV) using this setup?
Yes. Our Tier 2 (11.7 kWp) and Tier 3 (13.0 kWp) packages generate 18,000 to 20,000+ kWh annually. Daytime excess charges your lithium battery bank, providing clean free electricity to charge your EV at night.
What happens if an inverter or battery component fails under warranty?
Component warranties are specified directly from manufacturer datasheets: 5-year factory warranty on Deye hybrid inverters (with replacement units on shelf in Flacq), 10-year warranty on Greensun LiFePO4 batteries, 12-year product and 30-year linear performance warranty on GSM 650W panels, 10-year structural warranty on AL6005-T5 aluminium mounting, and 2-year warranty on the DC combiner box.
